Анотація
У статті проаналізовано потенціал застосування засобів аналітики великих обсягів даних (Big Data) у тренувальному процесі спортсменів. Розглянуто основні напрями використання цифрових інструментів для моніторингу, планування, корекції навантажень та прогнозування спортивних результатів. Визначено переваги Big Data для персоналізації підготовки, зниження ризиків травматизму, контролю функціонального стану та прийняття тренерських рішень. Представлено результати експертного опитування тренерів щодо рівня впровадження аналітичних технологій у спорті. Визначено перспективи та бар’єри інтеграції Big Data в українську систему підготовки спортсменів.
This article explores the application of Big Data analytics in the training process of athletes and highlights its transformative potential in modern sports science. The study outlines the key areas where data analytics technologies are being utilized, including performance monitoring, training load management, injury prevention, individualized planning, and performance forecasting. By analyzing large datasets collected through wearable sensors, GPS tracking, heart rate monitors, and video analysis, coaches and sports scientists can gain a more comprehensive understanding of an athlete’s physical and physiological condition.
The article presents the results of an expert survey conducted among coaches to assess the current level of Big Data implementation in their professional practice. Findings reveal that while there is growing interest in the use of digital tools, actual integration remains limited due to barriers such as insufficient funding, lack of technical knowledge, and absence of a national strategy for digital transformation in sports.
The advantages of Big Data technologies in sports include improved decision-making, enhanced training efficiency, early detection of overtraining or potential injuries, and the ability to personalize training plans based on real-time data. However, the research also highlights critical challenges facing Ukrainian sports institutions, such as outdated infrastructure, limited access to modern software, and the need for digital literacy among coaches.
Overall, the study concludes that Big Data holds significant potential for optimizing athlete development in Ukraine, provided that systemic efforts are made to overcome existing barriers and ensure strategic investment in digital sports technologies.
