Особливості впровадження STEAM підходу у вищу освіту

Проаналізовано наукову базу дослідження STEAM підходу та практику його реалізації у вищій освіті. З’ясовано роль інтеграції різногалузевих знань у професійній підготовці конкурентноспроможних фахівців. Обґрунтовано основні теоретико-методологічні засади інтеграції у контексті STEAM підходу, які орієнтують на доцільний вибір моделі інтеграції з урахуванням особливостей професійної діяльності та потенціалів дисциплін. На основі аналізу практики для різних спеціальностей вищої освіти виявлено характерні способи реалізації підходу та окреслено загальний алгоритм проєктування підходу. Виокремлено особливості впровадження STEAM підходу для вищої освіти.

The scientific basis of the STEAM approach research and the practice of its implementation in higher education are analyzed. The role of integration of multidisciplinary knowledge in the professional training of competitive specialists, which meets the modern requirements of the labour market and the concept of sustainable development, has been clarified. Changes in professional training are associated with the use of different methods of cognition, which affect the increase of activity, development of critical, visual, creative thinking, professional self-development. The basic theoretical and methodological principles of integration in the context of the STEAM approach are substantiated, which focus on the appropriate choice of the model of integration taking into account the peculiarities of professional activity and the potential of academic disciplines. Based on the analysis of holistic practices of implementation of the STEAM approach in the educational process of higher education, the most characteristic ways of implementation and features of application in vocational education were identified. Peculiarities of STEAM approach implementation in higher education are highlighted. It is established that for non-artistic professions there should be a clear awareness of the feasibility of its implementation, which is solved by finding common ground between the interaction of the professional industry with S.T.E.A.M. spheres. At the same time, artistic specialties should expand the possibilities of professional activity with modern technological tools. The special role of the humanities in higher education is related to the possibility of deepening and expanding the worldview in the direction of sustainable development of society. The humanities are a source of concepts that go beyond disciplines and provide a basis for integrating knowledge from STEM fields.
