Фізична терапія, як складова фізичної реабілітації в геронтології та геріатрії

Впродовж останніх десятиліть процес старіння населення прискорюється у всіх країнах світу. Він пов’язаний з постійним зростанням кількості старих людей, що страждають на різні захворювання, у тому числі хронічні, і такі, що притаманні лише людям похилого віку; при цьому він характеризується поєднанням декількох хвороб, що усугубляє стан літніх пацієнтів. Причин і проявів цих процесів є безліч. Нагальною проблемою геронтології та геріатрії в умовах реформування національної системі охорони здоров’я України є потреба у сучасній, адекватній пацієнтоцентричній фізичній терапії, як складової фізичної реабілітації, базованій на біопсихосоціальній моделі функціонування, спрямованою на запобігання, корекцію обмеження повсякденного функціонування геріартричних пацієнтів, які втратили здатність до участі у заняттєвій активності, а також скерованою на полегшення, максимальне відновлення та підтримання рухової і функціональної спроможності, поліпшення якості їхнього життя, емоційного благополуччя, та, по можливості, досягнення їх максимальної незалежності.

In recent decades, the aging process has accelerated in all countries of the world. It is associated with a steady increase in the number of elderly people suffering from various diseases, including chronic ones, and those that are unique to the elderly; it is characterized by a combination of several diseases, which exacerbates the condition of elderly patients. An urgent problem of gerontology and geriatrics in the context of reforming the national health care system of Ukraine is the need for modern, adequate patient-centric physical therapy as a component of physical rehabilitation. As a result of the analysis of scientific and methodical literature, regulations of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, PubMed, materials from the Internet on this issue, the main approaches to physical therapy as a component of physical rehabilitation in modern conditions of reforming the national health care system of Ukraine and outlined approaches and proposed tactics for physical therapy of geriatric patients in today's conditions, in accordance with the new law on rehabilitation based on IFF. The best effect from the use of these methods can be achieved against the background of a healthy lifestyle of patients.
