Analysis of the relationship between psychoemotional state manifestations, characteristics of neurodynamic functions, and cognitive productivity in athletes

The article is devoted to the analysis of the relationship between psychoemotional state, neurodynamic function characteristics, and cognitive productivity in qualified youth football players. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that modern football is characterized by high-intensity game actions, rapid changes in match situations, time pressure in decision-making, and the constant need to process a large amount of visuospatial information. Under these conditions, an athlete’s performance is determined not only by the level of physical, technical, and tactical preparedness, but also by the features of psychoemotional regulation, functional mobility of nervous processes, sensorimotor stability, and cognitive productivity. The study was conducted during a training camp prior to the Asian Football Championship with athletes of the Uzbekistan youth national football team aged 18 years. The Luscher Color Test was used to assess psychoemotional state. Neurodynamic and sensorimotor characteristics were examined using the Functional Mobility of Nervous Processes test, simple sensorimotor reaction test, Balance of Nervous Processes test, and tapping test. Cognitive productivity and spatial-perceptual abilities were assessed using the Manikins Test, Raven’s Progressive Matrices, and the Spatial-Temporal Extrapolation test. Mathematical statistical methods, including correlation analysis, were used to process the obtained data. The identified structure of correlation relationships indicates that the psychoemotional state of 18-year-old football players is primarily associated with parameters of nervous process dynamism, response impulsiveness, and sensorimotor reaction stability. Neurodynamic characteristics, in turn, were related to cognitive productivity, accuracy of spatial information processing, and efficiency of spatial-temporal prediction. The obtained data allow the relationship between psychoemotional state and neurodynamic and cognitive functions to be considered an important component of the overall psychophysiological organization of football players’ activity.

Актуальність дослідження зумовлена тим, що сучасний футбол характеризується високою інтенсивністю ігрових дій, швидкою зміною ситуацій, дефіцитом часу для прийняття рішень і необхідністю постійної переробки значного обсягу зорово-просторової інформації. За таких умов ефективність діяльності спортсмена визначається не лише рівнем фізичної та техніко-тактичної підготовленості, а й особливостями психоемоційної регуляції, нейродинамічних властивостей та когнітивної продуктивності. Дослідження було проведено на футболістах юнацької збірної Узбекистану, віком 18 років. Оцінка психоемоційного стану оцінювалась колірним тестом Люшера. Методики оцінювання нейродинамічних характеристик та когнітивних характеристик та методи математичної статистики, зокрема кореляційний аналіз. Виявлена структура кореляційних зв’язків свідчить, що психоемоційний стан футболістів 18 років пов’язаний передусім із параметрами динамічності нервових процесів, імпульсивності реагування та стабільності сенсомоторних реакцій. Нейродинамічні характеристики пов’язані із когнітивною продуктивністю, точністю просторової переробки інформації та ефективністю просторово-часового прогнозування. Отримані дані дозволяють розглядати взаємозв’язок між психоемоційним станом та неродинамімічними і когнітивними функціями як важливий компонент загальної психофізіологічної організації діяльності футболістів. Ця особливість впливає на реалізацію психофізіологічного потенціалу спортсменів в умовах змагальної діяльності.
