Георгій Іванович Нарбут - основоположник нової школи української книжкової графіки

The article describes and illustrates the creative work o f the famous graphic artist H. I. Narbut. It identifies a peculiar feature that «Narbut» font differed from others and explores its characteristics as well as selects the periods o f development o f the Narbut font, identifies positive features o f the newly created font. Narbut characterized the high skill of the graphic artist in registration and illustration o f books.
