Implementation of EU values in the Ukrainian educational dimension : intercultural dialog and social cohesion development

Abstract

У статті розглянуто процес імплементації європейських цінностей в освітній простір України. Показано зв’язок розвитку соціальної згуртованості та міжкультурно­го діалогу на фундаменті спільних цінностей. Упровадження цінніс­но­орієнтованого підходу повинно здійснюватися в різних напрямках освітнього простору – від викладання та навчання до врядування вищих освітніх закладів. У статті окреслено як існуючі здобутки в цьому напрямку, так і наступні практичні завдання щодо імплементації європейських цінностей соціальної згуртованості та між­культурного діалогу в український освітній простір.The article considers the implementation of EU values in the educational dimension of Ukraine, in particular, values of social cohesion and intercultural dialog. Connections between social cohesion development and principles of the intercultural dialogue based on the platform of common values have been shown. Implementation of EU values in the Ukrainian educational dimension should be transferred on the various directions: starting on learning and teaching and finishing by value-based management of higher educational institutions. In this direction the article outlines existing achievements and new main practical tasks in the implementation of the EU values in the Ukrainian educational dimension.
