The purpose of the study is to determine the state of development of indicators of different countries at swimming distances among swimmers of different ages and genders based on the results of receiving prize medals at the XXXII World Universiade-2025 in Berlin. The main tasks were: identification of the ranking of achievements among men and women at the World Universiade-2025; b) implementation of the results of the study into the practice of physical education and sports to determine an objective assessment of the difference in the performance of female and male prize-winning swimmers. As the results of our study showed, the undisputed leaders (top ten) of student swimming at the XXXII World Universiade in Berlin were: USA-50 medals (21 men + 29 women), Japan-15 (8+7), Italy-13 (9+4), South Africa-8 (4+4), Poland-7 (4+3) Russia-6 (6+0), China-4 (0+4), South Korea=3(1+2), Portugal-2 (0+2), Uzbekistan-2 (2+0), The second ten teams ranking by prize medals included: France-2 (1+1), Canada-2 (0+2), Australia-2 (0+2), Kyrgyzstan -1(1+0), Czech Republic-1(0+1), Brazil-1(1+0), Hungary-1(0+1), Germany-1(1+0), Hong Kong-1(1+0), Taiwan-1(1+0), Malaysia-1(1+0), Lithuania-1(1+0), Spain-1(0+1) medal. Thus, 42 sets of medals were drawn, which were awarded to 126 prize-winning swimmers from 23 countries, who received medals of various types. Among female students, the following swimmers stood out: USA-29 medals, Japan-7, Italy-4, South Africa-4, CHina-4 medals. Among male students, the leaders in swimming were: usa-21 medals, italy-9, Japan-8, Russia-6, South Africa-4, Poland-4 medals. The largest age difference between men and women was found in 12 cases in the range of 1-3 years (men, x±m=21.90±0.92; women, x±m = 21.22±1.06; t=0.015, p>0.05). a decrease in the age of men from women was observed in 4 cases. The absence of any advantage of the age of women over men and vice versa of men over women is presented in 6 cases. Men differ in the level of average swimming speed from women: at freestyle distances - 0.216 m/s, in relay swimming - 0.210 m/s, then butterfly - 0.203 m/s, then backstroke - 0.196 m/s, and also breaststroke - 0.190 m/s at stayer swimming distances - 0.140 m/s. Lower differences were observed at the distances of the medley swimming – 0.135 m/s, and the total, at the level of – 0.18 m/s (men, x±m=1.85±0.15; women, x±m = 1.67±0.12; T=1.98, P<0.05). The largest difference was recorded at 50 m – 0.230 m/s, then at 100 m – 0.215, then at 400 m – 0.170 m/s, at 200 m – 0.13 m/s, at the distances of the stayer swimming – 800-1500 m and the relay swimming freestyle 4x200 m – 0.156 m/s. Although the lowest figures were in the individual medley, the combined relay – 0.150 m/s.
