Описано один із найбільших видів латаття (видів водяних лілій) - Victoria amazonica, яка існує в дикій природі в басейні Амазонки. В Європі Victoria amazonica та Victoria cruziana представлена в оранжереї Принцеси Уельської та Будинку латаття (Будинок водяної лілії) в Королівських садах Кью (Лондон).
Described one of the largest species of waterlilies (the giant Amazon waterlily) - Victoria amazonica, which grows in the shallow waters of the Amazon River basin. In Europe Victoria amazonica is represented in the Princess of Wales Concervatory and in the Waterlily House at Kew (London).
