The aim of the study is to determine the physical, technical, and functional fitness characteristics of 16–17-year-old Thai boxers during the advanced specialization stage. The study involved 28 male athletes aged 16-17 years (mean age 16.5±0.4 years, training experience 4.2±0.8 years, qualifications from the 1st junior category to CMS). The following methods were used: anthropometry (9 indicators); testing of general physical fitness (8 exercises); testing of special technical fitness (8 striking combinations and series with video recording); assessment of functional status and psychophysiological indicators (Ruffier index, Romberg test, tapping test, Schulte tables, Bourdon correction test, simple and choice reaction time); correlation analysis (Pearson's coefficient). Statistical processing was performed using Student's t-test. A specific morphological profile was revealed: a significantly lower percentage of body fat (10.6±1.8%, p<0.001, d=3.94) and pronounced hypertrophy of "impact" segments (calf circumference 36.8±2.0 cm, p<0.001; shoulder circumference in tension 32.7±1.9 cm, p<0.01). The overall level of special technical fitness is 92% of the standard requirements; the most problematic issues are pronounced functional asymmetry (d up to -1.10) and low efficiency of "hand-leg" combinations (89% of the standard). At the same time, athletes demonstrate significantly higher than age norm indicators of cardiovascular system adaptation (Ruffier index 3.8±1.2 conventional units, p<0.001, d=3.94), vestibular stability (Romberg test 48.6±8.3 s, p<0.001, d=1.94) and choice reaction time (305±36 ms, p<0.001, d=1.75). Correlation analysis revealed the closest correlations of special preparedness with psychophysiological characteristics (r=0.70-0.90) and explosive leg strength (r=0.72-0.85). Thai boxers aged 16-17 years, with a high level of functional preparedness, exhibit significant structural imbalances: pronounced asymmetry of the technical arsenal, insufficient development of explosive leg strength, flexibility and strength endurance of the upper shoulder girdle. The obtained data substantiate the need to develop a program for correcting physical and technical preparedness.
