У статті досліджено та здійснено порівняльну оцінку фізичної підготовленості студентів цивільних спеціальностей та курсантів-операторського профілю.

The article compares the physical readiness of students of civilian specialties and cadets of the operator's profile. In today's situation, the problem of protecting the territorial integrity of the state continues to be a topical issue. The tasks of ensuring national security, defense capabilities of the country, the improvement of military equipment and weapons lead to an increase in the value of military-vocational training of officer personnel. The readiness of the leadership of the Ukrainian Army to perform official duties largely depends on the physical preparedness of students in conditions of study in higher military educational institutions. The functional and motor potential acquired by cadets and students in the process of physical training is a prerequisite for the successful pursuit of professional activities both in peacetime and in the face of a military threat. Th us, the study of the state of development of motor indicators of potential servicemen is not in doubt. The protection of the Motherland is a constitutional duty of every citizen, because the defense of the country belongs to the most important functions of the state and is the cause of the whole people. The question of the readiness of young students of the student age to protect the Fatherland in case of necessity today is extremely relevant. This problem is particularly acute today due to the military-political situation in the east of the country.
