На думку абсолютної більшості дослідників та експертів в галузі освітніх
інновацій, основними показниками (модусами, ознаками) інноваційного розвитку освіти є креативність, творчість, ініціативність, самостійність у виборі освітньої траєкторії, новизна запропонованих підходів тощо. Характерно, що ці модуси знаходяться у взаємній залежності та взаємодії. На жаль, цей аспект освітньої теорії досліджено ще не достатньо повно. Означені модуси розглядаються здебільшого як поряд покладені; між тим, сенс інновацій розкривається не як їх проста арифметична сума, а як органічна взаємодія та взаємне доповнення.
