Як одна з важливих сфер суспільства спорт несе на собі тягар притаманних йому проблем. Особливо відчутними серед них є питання комерціалізації і політизації спортивної діяльності. Водночас сучасний спорт є потужним засобом пропаганди, яка маніпулює почуттями спортсменів і вболівальників. Тому в спортсменів важливо виховувати не тільки міцний змагальний дух, але й високі моральні якості. З огляду на це на особливу увагу заслуговує формування у них почуття патріотизму, совісті, людяності, власної гідності. Це завдання може бути успішно реалізоване лише за умови системного розвитку спортивної галузі в нашій державі.As one of the most important spheres of society sport carries the weight of its inherent problems. Especially noticeable among them are considered to be the ones connected with the questions of commercialization and politicization of sport. At the same time modern sport is a powerful tool of propaganda that manipulates feelings of athletes and fans. Therefore, it is important to educate the athletes not only a strong competitive spirit, but also the high moral qualities. From this position special attention is required in the formation of their patriotic feelings, conscience, humanity and dignity. This problem can be successfully solved due to systematic development of sports education in our country.
