Особливості використання фахових текстів для формування іншомовної компетентності у немовних спеціальностей математичного профілю

У статті розглядаються особливості використання фахових текстів у процесі формування іншомовної компетентності студентів немовних спеціальностей математичного профілю. Автори акцентують увагу на тому, що вивчення іноземної мови у вищій школі має бути тісно пов’язане з
майбутньою професійною діяльністю студентів, що у свою чергу потребує використання спеціалізованих матеріалів. У роботі обґрунтовується важливість автентичних математичних текстів як ефективного засобу одночасного розвитку мовних навичок і здобуття фахових знань.
Ключову увагу приділено методичним аспектам роботи з текстами, зокрема виокремлено дві групи навичок читання (технічні та смислові) та принципи їх формування. Описано етапи роботи з текстом (pre-reading, whilereading, post-reading) і наведено приклади вправ, спрямованих на розвиток як мовної, так і професійної компетентності студентів.
У статті також визначено основні характеристики автентичних математичних текстів, серед яких термінологічна точність, використання символів і специфічних мовних конструкцій. Виділяється те, що такі тексти сприяють розвитку аналітичного мислення, умінню самостійно опановувати знання та
інтегрувати їх у професійну діяльність. У підсумку зроблено висновок про те, що використання фахових текстів є важливою умовою ефективного навчання іноземної мови студентів математичних спеціальностей, оскільки дозволяє перетворити процес навчання на інструмент професійного розвитку та підготовки до комунікації у науковому середовищі.

The article examines the features of using professional texts in the process of forming foreign language competence of students of non-language specialties of a mathematical profile. The authors emphasize that studying a foreign language in higher education should be closely related to the future professional
activities of students, which in its form requires the use of specialized materials. The work substantiates the importance of authentic mathematical texts as an effective simultaneous development of language skills and acquisition of professional knowledge. Key attention is paid to methodological aspects of working with texts, in particular, two groups of reading skills (technical and content) and the principles of their formation are distinguished. The stages of working with the text (pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading) are described and examples of exercises aimed at developing both linguistic and professional competence of students are given.
The article also identifies the main characteristics of authentic mathematical texts, including terminological accuracy, use of symbols and special language
constructions. It is highlighted that such texts contribute to the development of analytical thinking, the ability to independently master knowledge and integrate it into professional activities. As a result, the conclusion is made that the use of professional texts is an important condition for effective foreign language learning for students of mathematical specialties, which allows turning the learning process into a tool for professional development and preparation for communication in the scientific environment.
