The formation of pupils’ reading skills with intellectual disabilities in the process of out of school reading

Current research is demonstrating the effectiveness of comprehensive reading instruction for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Problems with the reading process are very prevalent among pupils identified as having learning disabilities. However, the specific problems that they have in reading vary as much as the many components of the reading process. These difficulties include, but are not limited to oral reading, reading comprehension, word recognition skills, and reading habits.

У статті розглянуто технології формування умінь читацької діяльності в розумово відсталих учнів у процесі позакласного читання. Доведено роль мультидисциплінарної команди щодо оволодіння учнями уміннями читацької діяльності.
