The formation of a modern system of military-patriotic
education of Ukrainian youth in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian
war requires understanding and imitating the best achievements and traditions
of educational work in this field, which were invented by the Soviet
educational system, the mass defense-patriotic public organization of
the USSR, the Ukrainian scout organization «Plast», Ukrainian historical
traditional martial arts (combat hopak, spas, horting, etc.), as well as
modern forms of national-patriotic education of children and youth (All Ukrainian children’s and youth military-patriotic game «Sokil» («Jura»)),
etc.
It is noted that public organizations for military and patriotic education
should not only provide combat training for potential defenders of Ukraine,
form the readiness of youth to defend the Motherland, develop the desire
to acquire military professions, serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, make
a significant contribution to the formation of spiritual, a highly moral, lifecompetent
person, a worthy citizen of Ukraine. In order to form a fighting,
moral and psychological spirit of the younger generation, to establish a
sustainable motivation for the physical improvement of a citizen-patriot,
to develop a deep understanding of public duty and readiness to stand up
for the defense of Ukraine at any time, the joint efforts of state authorities
and local self-government are extremely necessary the public, educational
institutions, parents and the youth themselves.
