Світоглядно-релігійні причини ритуального вбивства старих

Abstract

Публікація присвячена дослідженню світоглядно-релігійних причин ритуального вбивства старих в архаїчних і традиційних спільнотах. Визначено різні моделі тлумачення геронтоциду: як гарантії гідного посмертного існування, як жертовної практики, як засобу комунікації з померлими предками, як ритуалу оновлення сакральної влади, як лікувальної практики тощо. Також проаналізована вірогідна мотивація суїцидальної поведінки старих учасників ритуалу.The ideological and religious interpretations of the ritual murder of old people. The publication is devoted to the research of the ideological and religious reasons for the ritual murder of old people in archaic and traditional communities. There are different models of interpretation of the notion “geronticide”: as guarantee a worthy post-mortem existence, as sacrificial practice, as a means of communication with dead ancestors, as a ritual of the renewal of sacred power, as a medical practice etc. Probable motivation of suicidal behaviour of the old participants of the ritual was also analyzed.
