The article scientifically substantiates the expediency of adapting the foreign experience of NATO member countries (specifically the USA and Canada) into the system of applied military and physical training of senior high school students (grades 10–11). The problem of outdated physical culture standards and their inconsistency with modern security challenges under martial law in Ukraine is analyzed. Based on the analysis of official guidelines of the Canadian Armed Forces (FORCE Evaluation Operations Manual) and the US Army (FM 7-22 «Holistic Health and Fitness», TC 3-22.20), as well as the U.S. Army JROTC program, a flexible educational and training module "Special Functional Course (SFC)" was developed and experimentally justified. The key feature of the module is the combination of functional strength exercises with additional resistance, obstacle clearing, and the execution of tactical combat casualty care algorithms (TCCC/ASM) under elevated psychophysiological stress. It is proven that the integration of the American-Canadian experience contributes to improving field endurance, developing coordination, and forming mental resilience in senior students. The proprietary elective module "Special Functional Course" (SFC), designed for 10th and 11th-grade students, is recommended for implementation as part of the military-applied physical training program for young men in these grades. The module’s design allows for the adaptation of advanced elements from the FORCE Test and ACFT to the conditions of a standard school gymnasium or shelter, without the need for expensive equipment.
